We knew each other in another lifetime

Riding the rails far away from here

Stumbling home in the wee hours of the night

Playing music in the street, hiding from the summer heat

We knew each other in another lifetime

We loved each other like we would for a lifetime

We ran out of hours that the heart devours

Wasted and new, buried and blue

You had another lover in another lifetime

Fled from tears, city streets and hidden fears

You knew another, then we held each other

Peering out from under covers, in the winter chill

I heard Passenger on the radio

It reminds me of the night we played in the 12 bar

McSorley's and basement kitchen parties with astronauts

Blue Rodeo at The Borderline

I could go there in my dreams

London bombings, airport sleeps

Stolen laptops, stolen dreams

Brixton bullets, empty streets

Was it all a dream

Greenwich Park, picnics and ferris wheels

Dancing to the beat of heartbreak and the aftermath of peace

Foreshadowed endings, new beginnings

Are there any sweet goodbyes

Never knew, 'cos no one lies

Broken dreams and swollen eyes

Comfort comes to those who rise

Norwegian fjords and Paris streets

Hotel rooms, your love is sweet

I heard Passenger on the radio

It reminds me of the night we played in the 12 bar

McSorley's and basement kitchen parties with astronauts

Blue Rodeo at The Borderline

That was in another lifetime

I'm your lover from another lifetime

Dimensions of intentions between us

Never broke the tensions within us

I heard Passenger on the radio

It reminds me of the night we played in the 12 bar

McSorley's and basement kitchen parties with astronauts

Blue Rodeo at The Borderline
