As a little girl I was scared of monsters In the closet.
Made me so restless I couldn't sleep a wink.
You sit by my bed and point out to the stars in the night sky.
You say look how beautiful they shine .
Don't worry little sister you'll be just fine.
As a young lady finding her first real crush
Turns out he didn't like me as much
I cried and cried til my tears turned to wine
You said don't worry little sister you'll be fine
I cried as Daddy walked me down the aisle it was time for me to say I do
You didn't believe anyone else could love me like you
You were my hero and shared our dance for that one moment In time
You whispered don't worry little sister you'll be fine'
Finally the time had come my beautiful son was born
I fought so hard for him to be here I almost lost my mind
When I doubted if I could be a good mother and be who he needed
As you rocked him to sleep you said don't worry little sister he'll be just fine
So much time has passed so many memories have come and gone
Your not here anymore and sometimes everything feels so wrong
I look at the stars in the night sky I keep searching for those three that shine
I know its you telling me don't worry little sister you'll be just fine.
