How do I love thee
Let me count the ways
One for the wonderful love at first sight
Two for the way you love me at night
Three for the way you love me no more
Four for the way you showed me the door
Five for our love, our laughable lie
Six for the way I hoped you would die
How do I loathe thee
Let me count the ways

The Stasis of Cold Light

I am a cloud hung above a dry island
electricity is building as the heat scorches the land
I cannot escape the crystal sand
as the boiling sea fuels me
I bloom like cancer and block out the sun

How long will this desert island stay dry?

Catching up

Men and women alike appreciate poetry, but don't usually purchase it for themselves. I've proclaimed July to be "Buy poetry for your lover" month so they can receive books of meaningful poetry from their lovers, spouses, significant others, BFF's, close friends, family members, distant relatives, and even pen pals.

The Facebook event info is at…

The Angel Of The Sun

Her eyes are like the sea after the storm, blue and beautiful yet empty and sad

they awaken you like the sound of a crashing avalanche, or the rolling thunder

and sometimes they make you glad

and sometimes you wish you had her love to pull you under

underneath the water, and into the depths of the sea

to a world, a moment where everything is slowed down, but you flow tottaly alive

submerged into her love, careless and free

and no…

'Icicle Earlobe'. What I Wrote From 3:15-3:25 on June 22nd

Icicle Earlobe: Not much of a listener, he is really more a brute. Loves to curl up with cheetos and overrated eighties propaganda films like 'Fast Times', which make him melt, and due to his tendency and emotional obsession with a hard exterior, he will take days to muster the mustard to return to solid state.

Cherry Casket: A pretty young dame, obsessed with death. She loves reading stories about Judy Garland and Norma Jean, people who suffered and had death looming over…

What I Wrote From 3:33-3:48 on Sunday June 20th 'Pecking Order'

Hapless gemstone goat
With a case of the moats.
He'll never want to swim it, cos he'll get his wool wet and his horns softened
But he knows he needs to swim it, because the castle is on fire.

"One step back for two steps forward.
Being patient with the pecking order."

What do you think Mr. Roberts?
Does my piece shine to your anonymous company in my mind?
Does the fact that I can't…

Whatever I Happen To Write Between 9:37-9:47 AM, June 17th

"Man With A Crescent Moon On The Right Side Of His Brain"

The cow fields are carefully stretched out to accommodate my wives

Forty-seven moos and then a crack of many spines

You can tell me that I'm wicked, though you know I've felt the price

And paid it with a tower far above your lives.

Its the wee small hours when Sinatra smoked his last

Its the wee late minutes when I pour you in my glass

I've seen you so much better than you've ever seen… Continue

The Rain

In the bible it says the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous and nothing could be more true

God gave us rain to learn from it but what do we do?

We sit inside and we hate it, when we should embrace it

wishing it was sunny outside , that we were outside in the world roaming free as we sit

The rain teaches us about equality it falls on us all

and we define each other by race, stereotypes, skin colors, only building up walls

walls of racism, walls that… Continue

The Blues Guitarist

I grew up in Mississippi with a slide and an acoustic guitar

i convinced myself only these two things have brought me this far

but there is omen in the air something is coming for me

I tried to deny this for so long, living carelessly, but i was never free

I sat on stage playing the songs i had prepared

everyone was so moved by the blues i had shared

no one had ever heard any songs like these ones

pure anguish from the depths of my soul, that's where it came…

A Dream

I am sick an tired of hearing people dieing before there time

it is sad to see someone perish before there prime

just like Hendrix, Bruce lee and Stevie ray

And all of the people of the world who have passed away

I am sick and tired of hearing about people committing suicide

the were weak and let the devil slip inside

its not there fault sometimes, they scream and no ones hears no one bothered to lend an ear

all's they needed was someone to talk to, they dwell… Continue

possibility

Feelings never change

i could not say they are gone

love is something two should exchange

because love is a bond

love is unity, purity and something with which you meditate

and not sit and dwell upon

it gives you strength when you are weak

love does not make you sad

and if it is dreadful and bleak

that persons love is something you never had

lies become truths, ties undo

love is not a game, or to be mimicked

love is a vine that…

The Journey of Purpose

walking through the desert wasteland searching for a purpose, a reason to be

in total isolation, total concentration on the task at hand, a light that i can't see

is it because it's blending in with the desert sun? is it because the darkness haunts my soul?

it's too late my mind has been set since the day i begun, i must become one with myself and complete two halves of one whole.

suddenly a stream appears before me and i bend down to take a drink, to wash my face

it's… Continue
