In the bible it says the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous and nothing could be more true
God gave us rain to learn from it but what do we do?
We sit inside and we hate it, when we should embrace it
wishing it was sunny outside , that we were outside in the world roaming free as we sit

The rain teaches us about equality it falls on us all
and we define each other by race, stereotypes, skin colors, only building up walls
walls of racism, walls that stand between nations and people
the rain falls on all of us showing that we are equal

so next time you go outside dance in the rain
let it wash away all of your pain
don't sit inside driving yourself insane
wondering what the world is like on the other side of that window pane
and when the sun eventually comes shining in
you will be out in that world again
with the wisdom of a sage, no matter what age
and free yourself from your own cage
turn the pages of life and read on and learn more
stand for what all of us should stand for
stand for equality and stop talking about hate
hate is no excuse for fate
its never too late to achieve something great
to evolve from innate knowledge to a real life experience
to go out in the world and make a difference
what difference does it make about your gender or race?
stand up to ignorance and glare in it's face
tell it it is wrong and sing a song of grace
grace is like mace to those who idolize evil men
because it shows them a power greater than the limitations of men
it shows the world that light shines over the dark
and if we do what is right
we could leave a mark
embedded in this world and make it a happy place
and not a dangerous one
even if its just you, give the world a taste
of what is to come, change
re arrange evil, teach them the wisdom we hear in the cathedral
we are all equal just like the rain
it falls on all people
the good and the bad
the sane and insane
the only two distinguishable differences
not skin colors, stereotypes and races
do not perpetuate these hindrances
my only wish is
for us not to engage in war
but to reason with words
we could go so far to
emerge from a voice that's heard
to a change that's made
that is why my only weapon is a pen
and not a gun or a blade
