Frozen

A chill in the air
Carried by the breeze
Snowflakes melt
And mittens freeze.

my nose is so cold and
as red as my cheeks
but yet i find comfort
in winters frozen scenes

Sledding down hills
And burrowing in 'banks,
Snow turns to fun
As children give thanks.

makeing snow angels in
the freshly laid snow
with never a thought
of the bite on my toes

Then home to the fireplace
Hot cocoa in hand
Curled up in a blanket
And off to dreamland.
